In an ongoing effort to keep our patients and staff safe and healthy please read the statement below regarding our COVID-19 protocols.
WHAT TO DO TO COMPLY WITH OSHA, MIOSHA, AND MDHHS STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES UPDATE: August 30, 2021 — As announced June 17 by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, beginning June 22 capacity in both indoor and outdoor settings will increase to 100% and the state will no longer require residents to wear a face mask. However, dental offices will largely be unaffected by this change.
*In terms of patients and dental offices, the only thing that will change is that the state government mask mandate goes away on June 22. This means patients are no longer required by the state to wear a mask. However, CDC guidance still recommends that patients wear a mask. The ultimate decision is up to the practice owner on whether patients will wear a mask in the dental office. Dr Terry, Dr Tim and Dr Kelly are all in agreeance that we will continue to require masks for both patients and staff for the health and safety of our patients and staff.
*All MIOSHA/OSHA rules remain in effect for health care workers. Nothing has changed there. Also, nothing has changed regarding screenings. All health care workers and patients need to be screened.
*In addition, the MDA still recommends that dental offices follow CDC guidance. Please see the information below to comply with OSHA, MIOSHA, and MDHHS Standards and Guidelines. The MDA will inform members of any changes in these Standards and Guidelines Thank you for your continued cooperation!!
